Mukasa memorial medical centre is a private but not for profit (PNFP) Health facility founded in 2017 by Mr BONNY MAZINGA kyalwazi, an anaesthetist by professional. It’s found in central part of Uganda and about 70km from the capital Kampala. Along (BALE – Kayunga Road).
Before covid, the health centre operated very well with a total of about 15 staffs getting salaries and allowances from the small fees contributes by the patients, our charges were very low so as to enable the community to afford the services. This is because the aim of the facility is not to make profits in fact plans have started to register it under private not for profits ( PNPF) so as to reduce on some costs such as Taxes.
To provide quality, accessible & affordable Health Care for the community. It serves a population of about 1m people from the four neighbouring districts of Mukono, Luwero, Nakasongola, Kamuli. This catchment area is a rural set up and most people are peasant farmers with low incomes, so being a born of the area with health background l decided to start this facility to help the community access a health services.
The health facility had stood for one year, then covid 19 hit it badly and its operations became slim with Skelton staff due to low turn up due to poor economy for the community.
